Youth Conference!

I am so excited for Youth Conference! We are dressing up like Nephites and going on a journey through the woods. There will even be a battle! Unfortunately, we can't take a camera, but, I will add something maybe Sunday!

This weekend

This weekend, while all of my siblings (except Megan) were in Utah, I went shopping. Thursday I got some shoes from Academy, and a shirt from Target, and on Friday, Mom let me leave early, so I got to skip 2 classes. We went to Kohl's, Cato (I had only seen it before, but they have some ok clothes), and Old Navy. I got a shirt, a couple of pairs of shorts, and a skirt and shirt for Easter! I post some pictures later this week. Guess what else? I found out today that Breanna was coming in 2 weeks, and that would explain why she was asking me what I wanted to do when she came. I was thinking, that's in like a month and a half, why is she asking, but I didn't know she was coming, and that makes a lot more sense now! And Jacob is coming this week!
Oh, also, I failed to mention, Saturday, we went and cheered on Sis. Loucks at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, and then we went and checked out a big, fancy neighborhood called River Oaks, and all of the houses were, at least, easily 3x the size of our house. Multi-million dollar homes. Then, we went to a restaurant called Becks Prime, a hamburger joint that is famous in Houston because it has a Live oak that is older than 400 years old. I got a bacon burger that was like 3x the size of a regular one, and if we ever go again I am so splitting one with someone. Also, an IBC root beer was like 20 cents more than a regular drink, so mom let me get one. The lady handed me a bottle and a frosted mug. It was really awkward, walking through the restaurant as a 14 year old with a bottle and frosted mug. As I was walking, I was saying loudly, "Man, I can't wait to drink this ROOT beer!", and when I went to throw the bottle away, I said, "Gee, that ROOT beer was really good!" Later we ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant by the book store, and then went to the bookstore for the "Girls Night Out." All the novels and music were like 20% off. I got a book, a bookmark, and a picture. Also, they had a drawing, and if you stayed till the end, your name was bound to be pulled because everyone left. At the end, Megan, her sisters, and her mom came like they do every year to get their name in the drawing. So, I won like 3 CD's.
Today, we stayed home for conference because we left Grammie home till like 2 or 3 so we could go to the walk, and so we felt bad for her. We didn't want to leave her home by herself again. So we watched the first session, and between sessions, Megan, Dad, Kenny, and Braden got here. We ate chicken, potato salad, Cole slaw, and bread, and had straw berry shortcake after dinner. Once Kenny and Megan left, Braden demanded we have root beer floats, so we did, with cookie dough ice cream. It was, to say the least, interesting. So Braden had his 3rd root beer of the day. Now I am doing this and Mom is getting on to me because it is 8:41 and I am not in the shower.
